REZIDENCE NA KARMELI

Rezidence “Na Karmeli” is a residential project located in the historic centre of Mladá Boleslav, the overall concept drawing on prior consultation with the State Authority for the Conservation of Historic Buildings and Sites and the opinion of the National Heritage Institute. It was designed by renowned architects “KARLÍNBLOK architekti & projektanti s.r.o.”, and the complex of residential buildings consists of three low-rise structures, connected by a basement-level base that serves as an underground car park.

The buildings come together to form a self-contained inner courtyard, to be used exclusively by residents and their guests, in that the façades and the layout create the impression of an enclosed, semi-private residential space with balconies, pergolas, and front gardens separated from each other by hedges. The whole complex is therefore ideally set into the local urban character, but provides apartment owners with an inner world, separated from the centre of the town, the aim being to generate a pleasant, peaceful environment surrounded by greenery, a place that is hidden from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

FACTS ABOUT THE PROJECT

As far as security and privacy for residents are concerned, the project is built on a system of graded space. Access to the complex from the public Na Karmeli Street is only afforded to tenants and invited guests or, for example, courier services, all of them having to pass through the access entry panel system at the front gate. The second level of spatial grading is the semi-private space, meaning a specific building within the complex, which is only accessible to its residents. The third level is that of the apartments, terraces, balconies, and where appropriate front gardens, which can only be accessed by the residents of the particular apartment.
